LoCus offers FREE, impartial, confidential energy and environmental services to businesses in Oxfordshire and Berkshire.

Funded by the European Regional Development Fund, LoCus aims to deliver substantial carbon and financial savings from the non-residential building stock by working with occupying businesses and building owners.

Occupiers and owners of commercial property often have conflicting needs and demands with regards to building use and energy efficiency. This can often lead to a “circle of inertia” that prevents meaningful energy efficiency measures don’t get implemented. As a consequence, carbon emissions and energy bills across the commercial property sector are rising, resource & energy efficiency is not improving and the potential for new revenue opportunities is being lost.

LoCus works with occupier SME businesses, offering energy and environmental support that is flexible to your needs and timescales, but includes individual on-site environmental assessment visits and action plans, renewable assessments, funding opportunities and training. We can also help tenant businesses liaise effectively with their landlords to increase the implementation of cost-effective actions to the building fabric.

Working with commercial property owners, we aim to help improve the quality of existing commercial building stock through retrofitting advice, renewables assessments, funding solutions and tenant engagement.
